Aquarium Closed Sunday Due to Power Outage
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y.; November 29, 2020 — The Aquarium of Niagara will be closed to the public on Sunday, November 29, 2020 due to a power outage that occurred overnight.
The Aquarium has extensive protocols in place that prioritize animal safety in the case of a power loss, and the animal collection is unharmed. Aquarium staff has spoken with the National Grid crews onsite and anticipate service will be restored sometime Sunday.
The Aquarium will be closed to ensure visitor and animal safety while staff continue to monitor the animal collection and provide care.
Normal business operations are expected to resume Monday morning at 9 a.m.
