SCUBA DIVING

Are you SCUBA certified and interested in helping maintain our Sea Lion Exhibit?

The Aquarium of Niagara’s marine mammal care staff is looking for individuals to volunteer their time, and help maintain our 100,000 gallon sea lion exhibit. This is not an interaction program. Please be aware that the animals will not be with you in the water.

In the photo above, taken at our annual scrubbing party, features several active members of our volunteer dive program. Prior to being drained for painting, all nine divers entered the 64 degree water and scrubbed every square inch of the saltwater pool.

(First row left to right, Jim Stewart, Julie Kibbe, Jason Haefner, second row, Gary Halter, Ann Kick, Jeff Dieter, third row, Sandra Fazakas, David Szafran, Steve Cole)
