Yes. Less than 2% of our funding comes from government-based sources and the rest of our operating budget, which includes animal welfare, feeding our living collection, exhibits, acquiring new animals, events, training, marketing, promotions and salaries, come from admissions, gift shop purchases and generous donations. We need your continued support to bring you, and our animals, the very best in aquatic life, education and conservation. To find out more visit our support page

Sea lion shows go on every day at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Monday through Friday the show is titled "Caring For Our Animals" that focuses on the care, stories of each marine mammal and conservation efforts everyone can make to assure these beautiful animals don't vanish from our oceans. The shows for Saturday and Sunday is called the "Sea Lion Stories" and highlight the husbandry behaviors of these marine mammals and how they use these same skills to perform.

Join Our Journey is also known as Save Our Penguins. The Aquarium of Niagara is seeking accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the governing body of Survival Species Plan (SSP). The Aquarium currently has a population of seven Humboldt penguins - all who are beyond breeding. We cannot acquire younger penguins or bring in penguins for breeding until our new Humboldt Penguin exhibit and classroom are completed. We begin building in January. We are the only Aquarium to feature the threatened Humboldt penguins in WNY, southern Ohio and eastern Pennsylvania. The exhibit and classroom are budgeted at $3.2 million and we are shy by about $1 million. With your help we can close the gap. To give now, go to gofundme.com/saveourpenguins or click here.
