SEA LION OR HARBOR SEAL ENCOUNTER

There's nothing like a first kiss ..... from a Seal or Sea Lion!  When you visit the Aquarium of Niagara, you better bring your camera!  When you sign up for our Encounter Program, you will get close up and personal with either a harbor seal or one of our California sea lions.  During your session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about our marine mammals from one of our trainers as you participate in an interactive play session.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Approximately 15 minute session with a sea lion or seal.
Ask questions to the trainers who feed and care for them.
A photo CD will be available for $20.00.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

Reservations must be made at least one week in advance.
No more than 2 participants are allowed per session.
Participants must be 8 years of age or older.
Participant must not be pregnant.
Participant must not have participated in a marine mammal animal rescue within the previous 48 hours to avoid transmission of diseases to our animals.
Participant must be capable of and willing to participate.
Must be able to lift and carry 15lbs.
Participant must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
We reserve the right to cancel or amend program content and price without notice.


PENGUIN ENCOUNTER

Price per participant: $75.00

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Participants will get up close to one of our Humboldt Penguins.
Participate in an interactive session behind the scenes of the penguin enclosure.
Have a picture taken with the penguin.
A photo CD will be available for $20.00.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

Reservations must be made at least one week in advance.
All participants must be 8 years of age or older.
No more than 2 participants are allowed per session.
All participants must complete a release form prior to their encounter. Minors under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian sign their release form.
The staff may end a session with the penguin at anytime without notice.
Participants must not have participated in an animal rescue within the previous 48 hours to avoid transmission of diseases to our animals.
Participants must not be pregnant.
Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Participants must be capable and willing to participate.
Participants must be able to understand English.


CANCELLATIONS

Participants must be here on time or we will attempt to sell their spot.
Programs are NOT cancelled due to cold or inclement weather.
Animal participation is optional and although rare, sometimes an animal may choose not to participate in a given situation.
Refunds will NOT be issued to participants who are scared of the animal, water, change their minds or otherwise choose not to participate in the program.
We reserve the right to amend the program at anytime without prior notice.
Participants may reschedule with 24-hour prior notification with Exhibits staff.
