Education Programming at the Aquarium

Education is at the core of our mission statement. We believe in education through inspiration. It is our goal to integrate conservation and an appreciation of all aquatic ecosystems into every visitor's life through hands-on educational experiences and thought-provoking programs and exhibits. Our belief is that local and individual conservation efforts lead to global changes and prepares our participants to be better stewards of the environment.

We will provide the gloves and materials to gather debris, as well as treats and beverages to help you refuel.  The event will be held rain or shine.

This cleanup is part of the International Coastal Cleanup sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy and organized for New York state by the Northeast Chapter of the American Littoral Society. As part of the Aquarium's mission to help promote conservation, our many years of participation has kept over 10,000 pounds of trash from littering our waterways. Come help us continue to keep even more debris from becoming a problem.
